How to use and processing criteria
Create a PDF that alternates faint tracing text with blank practice rows from your own writing. Choose paper size, font size and baseline spacing. Text is processed in your browser without being uploaded or stored by this site.
Actual example
The two public example sentences with A4 paper, 18 pt type and 12 mm spacing produce one page with two tracing rows and two blank practice rows. Adjacent baselines are 12 mm apart, so each pair uses 24 mm. Explicit empty lines are preserved. Long lines wrap at grapheme boundaries within 36 pt page margins.
Limits: 2,000 displayed characters, 20 pages and a 50 MiB result. Supported Hangul, Latin letters, kana and ideographs are accepted; emoji and unsupported characters produce an error. Newlines are preserved and long lines wrap at grapheme boundaries.
The fixed font combines Noto Sans KR with missing Japanese characters from Noto Sans JP. Some ideographs use Korean regional shapes. This is not a guide to correct Japanese character forms or stroke order.
Use text you wrote or have permission to use. Book text and paid handwriting materials are not provided.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the PDF in Goodnotes or another note-taking app?
The result is a standard PDF that can be opened by apps supporting PDF import. There is no app-specific template or account integration. Pages are portrait A4 or A5; check scaling and print margins in your app or printer.
Can I mix Japanese and Korean text?
Supported Hangul, Latin letters, kana and ideographs can be mixed. The fixed font is based on Noto Sans KR with missing Japanese characters supplemented from Noto Sans JP, so some ideographs use Korean regional shapes. This is not a guide to Japanese character forms or stroke order. Unsupported characters produce an error.
How are long text and blank lines handled?
The limit is 2,000 displayed characters after NFC normalization, including line breaks. Explicit newlines and blank rows are preserved. Long lines wrap without splitting a grapheme. The limit is 20 pages and 50 MiB; excess content is rejected rather than silently discarded.
Is my text stored on a server?
Your text is processed into a PDF only in this browser. The site does not upload or store it, and clears it when you reset, reload or leave the page. Files you download remain on your device until you delete them.
Can the tool import sentences from books?
Book text and paid worksheet content are not provided. Enter writing you created or have permission to use. The public example sentences were written specifically for this tool.
Calculation criteria and reference materials
- Unicode — Grapheme Clusters and Text Boundaries
The basis for treating combining characters as a single grapheme cluster. Actual glyph support and line wrapping depend on the font and the entered text.
- Google Fonts — Noto Sans KR Source and Font License
The source and SIL Open Font License for the static CJK font embedded in the PDF. Unsupported characters are reported before export.
- Google Fonts — Noto Sans JP source and font license
The source and SIL Open Font License for Japanese characters missing from the base font. Some kanji retain the Korean regional glyph shapes of the base font.
