How to add a signature to a PDF

Input example

600×800pt In the public example document, when adding a signature with a width of 25%, the horizontal length is 150pt. The horizontal position 60% is 360pt from the left, and the vertical position 75% is 600pt from above. The height is determined based on the proportion of the prepared signature. After checking 2 page, select “Add Signature” to save a copy of the same signature across both pages.

Select a PDF, draw handwritten text, and prepare a signature or select a JPG/PNG signature image. Choose to add signatures per page and adjust the position and width. Up to 20 signatures can be placed on each page, and adding a new signature does not occur just by checking the page.

The position value is based on the left top of the page displayed on the screen. Maintain the original scaling ratio and adjust the height to fit the width. Convert the rotated·cutted area into PDF coordinates and do not convert the original page content into an image. The preview shows the currently checked page, so check all selected pages before saving.

Encrypted, corrupted, or form/signature fields in PDFs are not supported. Use a regular copy. This tool does not prove the integrity or signer of a document with a certificate, nor does it guarantee the validity of an existing certificate signature. It does not remove original PDF extra information, links, or attachments.

Hand-drawn signatures are created as transparent PNG by cutting around each stroke. The background of the image is not automatically removed. Camera details are not copied to the new signature image. The resulting PDF is no more than 100MB, and complex documents may fail preview or save. If it fails or is canceled, previous inputs and results are retained.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this PDF certificate verified by electronic signature?

No. It is a tool that adds handwriting or images to documents, but does not prove the signer or document integrity with a certificate. The validity of existing electronic signatures may not be maintained, so keep the original. PDFs with form and signature fields are not supported.

Does changing the page add a signature to all pages?

No. Adding a new layout is not done just by checking a page. Select “Add signature” for each required page. The same signature can be added once per 20 pages, and changing the prepared signature will change the image for all selected pages.

What is the white background and original content of the PDF for the signature?

Hand-drawn signatures are prepared as transparent PNG. The white background of the uploaded image is not automatically removed, and that background is included in the PDF. The original PDF page is not rasterized, but form and encryption files are not supported. It does not remove additional information or attachments from the document.
