Target Grade Calculator

Use the received score and reflection ratio to calculate the remaining average needed for the target final score. Separate impossible targets from completed assessments.

Input

Execute directly using the sample value, or try changing the value.

Enter 0–100, up to 2 decimal places. All evaluations should be based on a 100‑point scale.

0–100, up to 2 decimal places

A ratio greater than 0, with two decimal places. The total completion score is 100% or less.

Input backup·restore

Input is not saved or automatically synchronized. Refreshing returns a sample value. JSON backup includes the name and all inputs. Restoration replaces the current input.

Calculation criteria and usage method

Calculate the remaining average score needed for the target score using the already received points and the final applied ratio.

Remaining average required = (Target final score − Completed assessment weighted sum) ÷ Remaining reflection ratio

Input example

If 80 points in an assignment equal 20% of the final grade, and 90 points in a midterm exam equal 30%, the already obtained final score is 80×0.2+90×0.3=43 points. If the target is 90 points and the remaining ratio is 50%, (90−43)÷0.5=94 points are needed. A target of 94 points requires 102 points remaining, so it cannot be achieved within a maximum of 100 points.

How to use

  1. Use the provided example or modify the settings and selected items. Add items to enter multiple evaluations, textbooks, and topics in order.
  2. Click Check Required Score. Incorrect inputs are moved to the relevant item and field for guidance.
  3. Check the result and save as CSV. You can import the plan as ICS if needed. If you want to continue input, save a separate JSON backup.

Limitations and interpretation

All ratings are converted to a 100-point scale value. The weighted average of remaining ratings is calculated, and the school’s grading, relative rating, bonus points, and rounding rules are not predicted. Up to 50 completed ratings are allowed; scores and percentages are entered with two decimal places.

Frequently Asked Questions

If there are multiple remaining exams, must I get 94 points?

94 points is the weighted average of the remaining assessments. Even a low score in one assessment can be compensated by higher scores and weighting in other assessments. Individual test score combinations should be checked based on this criterion.

Does it calculate the rounding of A grade or school scores?

Only the weight converted based on 100 points is calculated. Grade boundaries, relative evaluation, additional points, and school rounding rules are not considered. Enter the target score according to actual classes.
