Calculation method and criteria
A tool that calculates fuel consumption from the record from full refuel to the next full refuel.
Actual example
400 km with 40 L is 10 km/L, 600 km with 30 L is 20 km/L. The total is 1,000 km÷70 L≈14.29 km/L, different from the simple average 15 km/L. L/100 km is 70÷1,000×100=7.
Frequently Asked Questions
What fuel amount must be entered?
Start recording the driving distance from the initial full fill. When filling up at the same level next time, treat the amount filled as consumed fuel. The initial filled amount is excluded. If there is intermediate fuel use, it must be added to the final full fill amount.
Can I enter the cumulative distance on the dashboard directly?
Since it is a segment distance, enter the difference between the final cumulative distance and the initial cumulative distance, or use the segment distance meter. Up to 20 non‑overlapping segments can be entered. Distance and fuel are positive numbers and support up to three decimal places.
Can total fuel consumption and dashboard display differ?
Total is calculated as total distance ÷ total fuel, and does not take segment fuel as a simple average. It varies based on dashboard estimates, fuel gauge, fuel level, and operating conditions. This is not a vehicle performance certification or diagnosis.
