Actual example
Enter a EAN-13 content of 400638133393. Add a check digit 1 to form 4006381333931. The full number with the last digit changed to 2 will be marked as an error and overwrite the previous result.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the supported specifications and input lengths?
CODE128 is 1–80 characters of printable ASCII English·numbers·symbols. EAN-13 gets 12/13 digits, EAN-8 gets 7/8 digits, UPC-A gets 11/12 digits. Short lengths have check numbers, long lengths are verified. GS1-128·Hangeul·control characters are not supported.
How is the check number calculated?
The content of EAN·UPC is multiplied alternately by 3 and 1 from right to left, then the sum is rounded to the nearest multiple of 10. The CODE128 check characters are calculated separately by the library.
Can the created barcode be registered directly on the product?
This tool creates only the image with the entered number. It does not provide product identification, GS1 registration, or ownership verification. Print quality varies depending on actual print size, surface, and printer. Do not cut margins or distort proportions; scan the output for confirmation.
