Calculation·conversion criteria
Add VAT to the purchase price of multiple transactions, or divide the total amount including tax by the purchase price and tax to verify.
Input example
Selling price 10,000 KRW and 20,000 KRW · 10% → VAT total 3,000 KRW · Total transaction amount 33,000 KRW
If 10,000 KRW and 20,000 KRW have 10% applied, the VAT total is 3,000 KRW and the total transaction amount is 33,000 KRW. The total amount including VAT of 11,000 KRW is divided into 10,000 KRW selling price and 1,000 KRW tax. Each line is reported as a separate transaction, and the tax is rounded to the nearest yuan.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the tax calculated from the amount including VAT?
If the tax rate is r, the supply price is calculated as (total included amount) × 100 ÷ (100 + r) and rounded to the nearest whole unit. The tax amount is subtracted from the entered total amount.
Does the default 10% tax rate apply to all business transactions?
No. 10% is the standard tax rate for regular taxpayers advised by the National Tax Service. This calculator does not determine whether simplified tax, tax exemption, or special tax rates apply per transaction, so verify the actual standard.
Can this result be used for VAT reporting?
No. It is a value decomposition tool that does not reflect purchase tax deductions, industry-specific value-added rates, deductions, additions, and reporting rules.
