Check and delete photo EXIF data
Check the location and shooting info of the photo and create a copy of the PNG without metadata. Re‑check the output file while preserving the original.
EXIF and removal method
Input example
For example, if there is 640×400 JPG, GPS coordinates, and camera name, it will be displayed in the check list. Click “Create Copy” to generate a 640×400 PNG in the same display direction, and re‑check for non‑visual EXIF, XMP, or IPTC chunks. The example photo is a public PNG without personal information, and no shooting details are included.
EXIF can contain camera, viewing, orientation, GPS, etc. Other additional information such as XMP and IPTC is also checked, and the interpreted fields and additional information blocks of the file are separated and displayed. The list is limited to 200 items and 20,000 characters; all manufacturer-specific information is not interpreted.
The deletion copy converts the pixel displayed by the browser into a new PNG encoding, excluding non-video chunks such as EXIF, text, and profile data. Recheck the PNG chunk before saving and revalidate it with a camera parser. Chunks used for video representation, such as color space and gamma, may remain; the original ICC color may change. The size of the PNG copy may increase.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I keep only position info while keeping the JPG format?
This tool re-encodes a photo as PNG to exclude shooting information and other non-video metadata. The original JPG remains unchanged, and the location and date text inscribed on the image pixels is not removed. The PNG size may increase.
Is it a safe photo if no information is displayed?
Indicates no interpreted items exist. Manufacturer-specific fields or broken information may be unreadable, so no guarantee that no information exists. A removed copy is provided after rechecking the output file, keeping only allowed video chunks.
Can the color or orientation differ between the original and copy?
Saving pixels in the direction shown by the browser without copying the original ICC profile. Colors may change due to color space conversion. Open a copy, check the direction, colors, and opacity, then use it. HEIC and WEBP moving PNG are not supported.
